This aspect of the ISSS project is focussed on informing DPI staff of the features of wireless sensor networks, and the capability that the project has developed. It's aim is to foster the broad uptake of the technology, and development of projects incorporating WSN as a tool in delivering outcomes.
The major dissemination exercise is the delivery of two to three hour workshops at a DPI sites across the sites. The philosophy underlying this approach is that adoption of new technologies requires "push", and simply advertising the features and calling for interested parties to come to a central location is unlikely to bring about significant uptake.
